Kinetic New Tab

Privacy policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

Kinetic New Tab does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Everything it uses stays in Chrome on your own computer.

What the extension uses

Searching

When you search from the new tab, your words go straight to the search engine you picked in settings: Chrome's default engine, Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing or Brave. It works the same as searching from Chrome's address bar. The extension doesn't log or keep your searches, and that search engine's own privacy policy applies.

What the extension never does

Permissions, in plain words

Removing your data

Uninstalling the extension deletes all of its saved settings. You can also switch shortcuts back to your most visited sites at any time from the settings panel.

This website

kinetictab.pages.dev has no cookies, analytics or trackers. The live demo on the home page saves its settings in your browser's local storage only. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.

Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent from the Support tab on the extension's Chrome Web Store page. See the help page for details.
